안녕하세용 더비~ 더보이즈 막내 of 막내 에릭입니다!!! 으로 데뷔 전 2017.09.08, 여기에 첫 공카 편지를 남겼었죠. 저는 그 순간이 아직도 생생하게 기억에 남아있어요. 한타 한타 작성하면서 몇 번을 지우고 쓰고 반복했는지… 조심스럽기도, 긴장되기도, 설레기도 한 마음이었었죠. 지금 이 순간에도 이 글을 쓰면서 같은 감정들이 드네요.

미국에서 살던 저는 춤, 노래, 랩.. 아무것도 할 줄 몰랐습니다. 오직 가지고 있는 거란 밝은 에너지와 열정 뿐이었죠. 2015.07.01 홀로 한국으로 들어와 연습생 생활을 시작하며 7년 전 오늘 더보이즈라는 그룹으로 데뷔를 하게 되었고요.

데뷔 전에는, 데뷔를 할 수 있을까?
데뷔 후에는, 성공할 수 있을까?
활동을 하면서는, 우리 더 잘될 수 있을까?
시간이 지난 후에는, 더보이즈가 영원할 수 있을까?
이와 같은 수많은 걱정과 고민을 했었죠.

이 4가지 질문의 답은 ‘당연하지‘라고 저는 생각합니다. 더비와 더보이즈니까 가능하다고 믿어요.
지난 7년간 활동하면서 매 순간이 행복했다면 거짓말이겠지만, 더비랑 함께 한 매 순간만큼은 진심으로 행복했습니다. 더비와 더보이즈가 저에게 만들어준 소중한 추억들 잊지 않고 잘 간직하겠습니다.

백지였던 저를 데리고 와주셔서 오늘의 더보이즈 에릭까지 키워주시고, 지난 7년간 더보이즈를 아낌없이 지원해 주신 IST를 비롯한 모든 직원분들께 이 글을 빌려 진심으로 감사의 마음을 전합니다. 감사했습니다. 고생 많으셨습니다.

우리가 함께한 세월이 7년이던, 몇 개월이던 저희 11명의 곁을 지켜주시고, 청춘을 함께 만들어 나가주셔서 진심 어린 마음으로 감사합니다. 함께 울고, 웃고, 행복했던 우리의 순간들 앞으로도 함께 하실 거죠?!
많은 우여곡절이 있었지만 이게 다 밑거름이 되어 더비와 더보이즈의 관계는 분명 더 단단해졌을 겁니다.
지난 7년간 더비 덕분에 1위도 하고, 많은 상도 받고, 콘서트와 투어도 하고, 그 외에도 돈으로도 살 수 없는 값진 경험들을 했습니다. 무엇보다, 더비 덕분에 더보이즈가 여기까지 올 수 있었고, 앞으로의 더보이즈도 있는 겁니다. 더 높이 비상할 11명의 더보이즈, 멤버 한 명 한 명 모두 앞으로도 더비의 아낌없는 응원과 따뜻한 사랑으로 잘 부탁드립니다. 얼마 남지 않은 올 한 해 포근하게 잘 마무리하시고 우리는 머지않은 시간에 금방 또 만나요!! 사랑해 더비야.

Title: We who are together, we who will be together #7

Hello, TheB~ It's THE BOYZ maknae of maknae, Eric!!! This is how I started my first letter here on fancafe on 2017.09.08, right? I still remember that moment vividly. How many times did I delete and write things over and over while carefully typing each letter... I was careful, worried, and excited. Right now, writing this letter, I have those same feelings.

When I was living in the U.S., dancing, singing, rapping.. I didn't know how to do any of those things. All I had was my bright energy and passion. I came back alone to Korea on 2015.07.01 to start my life as a trainee and 7 years ago today, I debuted as THE BOYZ.

Before we debuted, "will we be able to debut?"
Once we debuted, "will we be able to succeed?"
While promoting, "will we be able to do better?"
After some time passed, "will THE BOYZ be able to continue forever?"
I had many different worries and concerns like those.

I believe the answer to those 4 questions is "of course". It's TheBs and THE BOYZ, so I believe it's possible.
It would be a lie to say that while promoting for the past 7 years I was happy in every single moment, but I was sincerely happy in every moment I was together with TheBs. I will treasure dearly and never forget all the precious memories TheBs and THE BOYZ created for me.

In this letter, I want to convey my gratitude to all the staff from IST who brought in the me who was a blank page and raised me into the THE BOYZ Eric I am today, and who generously supported THE BOYZ for the past 7 years. Thank you. You've worked really hard.

To our beloved TheB ❤️
Whether our time together has been 7 years or a few months, thank you from the bottom of my heart for staying by our side and for creating our youth together with the 11 of us. The moments we've cried, laughed, and been happy together, we'll have those moments together in the future too, right?! There were many ups and downs, but I think all of it must've become a stepping stone to make the relationship between TheBs and THE BOYZ that much stronger.
In the past 7 years, thanks to TheBs we achieved 1st place, received many awards, held concerts and went on tours, and aside from all that, had valuable experiences that not even money can buy. More than anything, it's thanks to TheBs that THE BOYZ could come this far and that there will be a THE BOYZ in the future as well. Please look after each and every one of the 11 members of THE BOYZ who will fly even higher in the future as well with TheBs' generous support and warm love. Let's finish this year that's almost over cozily and well, and let's meet soon in the near future!! I love you, TheB-yah.
